The Bridge Athem

The Bridge Project is a campaign to inspire Milwaukeeans to unite for violence prevention. Bridges have long been symbols of making connections, not just connecting two masses of land, but also connecting people. The launch of the Bridge Project is meant to do just that, connect people of goodwill – youth and adults, who are working on activities all across Milwaukee to build bridges of peace and non-violence.

Help us reach our goal by watching the video and sharing with your family and friends. For more information about The Bridge Project visit www.bridgeprojectmilwaukee.org. Tweet about the bridge at #bridgeMKE!

Rebels After School Program

Keeping Milwaukee teenagers safe, just got harder. With a reduction of funding being allocated to local after school programs, the Running Rebels Community Organization is struggling to obtain the financial resources necessary to continue its after school program that has helped keep so many youth keep off the streets and focused on positive activities. This video talks about the devastating impact of the funding shortfall and what we can do about it.

2014 Fresh Coast Classic

The 2014 Fresh Coast Basketball Classic is in it’s eighth year and has grown to become one of the top sporting events in the Metro Milwaukee Midwest area, as it rivals the Chicago Football and Circle City Classics. The classic event begins with our Annual College and Resource Fair, which takes place on Tuesday, November 25th with a projected attendance of 4,500+ in attendance. This years fair will be hosted on the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee campus.

New to the classic! Our corporate and Fresh Coast Classic sponsors will pay special tribute to members of the North-Lincoln State Basketball Teams recognizing surviving members of the 1959-North-Lincoln championship teams. The tribute filmed by the Wisconsin Black Historical Society will be highlighted during Friday nights tournament game between Milwaukee Riverside and Pewaukee at 6:15pm. In conjunction, we will be in celebration of the 100th year anniversary of high school boys basketball.
